Elke Pfeil, Owner & Director
I was born and raised in the beautiful historic city of Dresden. The experience of growing up in travel-restricted East Germany awoke my desire to travel the world, and the miraculous fall of the wall then opened the door to turn this dream into reality. I chose the glamorous international world of hospitality as a career path - and my subsequent passion for luxury boutique hotels, sales, marketing and revenue management eventually became the DNA of Revpar Marketing.
Straight after an apprenticeship with MARITIM Hotels in Germany I moved abroad and held roles in Operations at the famous Bürgenstock Resort in Switzerland and the iconic Gleneagles in Scotland. Drawn to warmer climates I relocated to Dubai in 2003, where I started out in Guest Relations, prior to joining Sales & Marketing within JA Hotels & Resorts in 2004. In 2007 I was part of the pre-opening team of the Shangri-La Hotel in Abu Dhabi as Business Development Manager Leisure. Thereafter I was appointed Director of Sales & Marketing for the Six Senses Resorts Maldives, in charge of the widely acclaimed resorts Soneva Fushi, Soneva Gili and the pre-opening Six Senses Laamu. After two years of barefoot island life I returned to lively Europe and settled down in my favorite city Barcelona, where I founded Revpar Marketing in 2011.
I have an MBA by the University of Sunderland, England and a Certification in Business Economics & Management by the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, Germany.
When I am not working or travelling I enjoy long-distance running and yoga, studying nutrition and playing with my two cheeky cats.
Gemma Férriz, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager
Born in Barcelona it was obviously impossible not to dedicate my life to the Tourism Industry. I have a degree and a Masters in Tourism Management by EADA Business School and have 20 years experience in areas such as Aviation, e-Commerce, Business & Leisure Tourism and Destination Promotion, prior to joining Revpar Marketing and the world of luxury hotels in 2015.
I have lived in three different countries (United Kingdom, Canada and Spain) and enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds.
I am passionate about travelling, love diversity and the sound of different languages, my favourite place to be is anywhere I have not been. I am also interested in social media and how it has affected our lives, privately and professionally.
In my spare time you can find me and my family on a beach, roller-blading at the promenade, at the cinema or at a concert; I love music and movies and gourmet food and wine. I do Zumba and any type of dance classes when my twins allow me.
At Revpar Marketing I look after the markets of Spain, Scandinavia, Benelux and the UK.
Daniela Taller, Sales & Marketing Manager (German-speaking markets)
As I grew up in a little village in the north of Germany, I always felt attracted by the sun and exotic destinations. But my real travel passion began when I lived abroad for my international studies in Latin America where I discovered amazing places.
I have a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture and a Master's degree in Environmental- and Resources Management for the tropics and subtropics. After finishing my studies, I worked as a strategic planner for Ecotourism development in Mexico. Altogether I have lived and worked in Mexico, Brazil, France and Spain.
My communication and selling skills combined with a good eye for design and beautiful places led me to Revpar Marketing, where I am in charge of promoting our portfolio of beautiful hotels to the German-speaking market.
William Meyrick, Senior Sales Manager for Zannier Hotels
I was born in Cheltenham Spa, England and grew up in the Cotswolds, famously known for its beautiful countryside. My fortunate surroundings of the local woods and forests allowed me the opportunity to explore my adventourous side from an early age, thus whetting my appetite for greater things to come.
At the age of 22 I chose to travel solo throughout Southeast Asia, visiting Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. It was the first time I truly found my calling for travel and the true essence of what it means to get off the beaten track and to discover new cultures and the history behind each one. I eventually chose Cambodia as my home and lived there for a total of 10 years. It was also where I started my career as a travel designer, designing luxury tailor-made itineraries for a locally owned high-end tour operator and their discerning clients. After a number of years I gained great knowledge not only of Cambodia but the region itself and the beauty in which it provides, before moving into luxury hotels where I started as Assistant Director of Sales for Park Hyatt Siem Reap.
My qualifications in Financial Accounting and Operations Management by Wharton University and a Diploma in Leisure and Tourism at Gloucestershire College have given me the opportunity to work alongside my fellow colleagues at RevPar Marketing, based out of Barcelona which I am now proud to call home.
I have a passion for learning new languages, love my history of the world, enjoy motorsports and watching football on the weekends whilst trying new cuisines wherever my travels may take me.
