Team

Elke Pfeil, Founder & Director

Elke Pfeil

I was born and raised in the beautiful historic city of Dresden. The experience of growing up in travel-restricted East Germany awoke my desire to travel the world, and the miraculous fall of the wall finally offered the opportunity to turn this dream into reality. I chose the glamorous world of luxury hospitality as a career path - and my subsequent passion for luxury boutique hotels, sales, marketing and revenue management eventually became the DNA of Revpar Marketing.

Straight after an apprenticeship with MARITIM Hotels in Germany I moved abroad and held roles in Operations at the famous Bürgenstock Resort in Switzerland and the iconic Gleneagles in Scotland. Drawn to warmer climates I relocated to Dubai in 2003 where I started out in Guest Relations, prior to joining Sales & Marketing within JA Hotels & Resorts in 2004 as Sales Executive and soon thereafter was promoted to Sales Manager. In 2007 I was part of the pre-opening team of the Shangri-La Hotel in Abu Dhabi as Business Development Manager Leisure. Then I was appointed Director of Sales & Marketing for Six Senses Resorts Maldives, in charge of the widely acclaimed resorts Soneva Fushi, Soneva Gili and the pre-opening Six Senses Laamu. After two years of barefoot island life I returned to Europe and settled down in my favorite city Barcelona, where I founded Revpar Marketing in 2011.
In 2014 I met Arnaud Zannier and have since then been instrumental in launching and positioning the Zannier Hotels brand by leading all global sales & marketing activities and building the Zannier sales team. I planned and executed the successful openings of Phum Baitang (Cambodia), 1898 The Post (Belgium), Omaanda & Sonop (Namibia) and Bai San Ho (Vietnam).

I have an MBA by the University of Sunderland (England) and a Certification in Business Economics & Management by the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg (Germany).

When I am not working or travelling I enjoy running and practising yoga, studying nutrition, going to the cinema, meeting friends, crochet and amigurumi, gourmet dining and spending time in the mountains or on the beach.

Gemma Férriz, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager

Gemma Férriz

Born in Barcelona it was obviously impossible not to dedicate my life to the Tourism Industry. I have a degree and a Masters in Tourism Management by EADA Business School and have 20 years experience in areas such as Aviation, e-Commerce, Business & Leisure Tourism and Destination Promotion, prior to joining Revpar Marketing and the world of luxury hotels in 2015.

I have lived in three different countries (United Kingdom, Canada and Spain) and enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds.

I am passionate about travelling, love diversity and the sound of different languages, my favourite place to be is anywhere I have not been. I am also interested in social media and how it has affected our lives, privately and professionally.

In my spare time you can find me and my family on a beach, roller-blading at the promenade, at the cinema or at a concert; I love music and movies and gourmet food and wine. I do Zumba and any type of dance classes when my twins allow me.

At Revpar Marketing I look after the markets of Spain, Scandinavia, Benelux and the UK.

Elisabeth Ferrer, Senior Sales Manager

(Zannier Hotels)

Elisbeth Ferrer

I started my career in hospitality back in 1996 with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, first at the Hotel Arts Barcelona and later as part of the opening team of the Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C. from where I transferred to the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, before coming back in 2003 to the Hotel Arts Barcelona. During this period of time I handled several roles from Group Sales to Business Travel and complemented my Tourism Degree in Hotel Management with studies in Event & Hospitality Management at the George Washington University.

My next step was waiting for me in Australia. I took some time off to travel and explore this long-awaited continent for me to visit and, loved it so much that, I ended up settling up for almost 3 years working for the Hilton in Brisbane as Events Business Development. Back in Europe I joined again Ritz-Carlton, this time at the Regional London office, managing the UK Group Sales Business for the global portfolio.

Being a Barcelona-born, in 2008 I decided it was time to move back home to be close to friends and family and, of course, to the Mediterranean Sea, which I missed so much over my years abroad. It was then that I joined Six Senses with a focus on the positioning of the newest developments amongst the high-end travel industry. In 2013 I joined a small family-run Relais & Châteaux in the northern coast of Barcelona where I managed all areas in marketing, sales and media.

Having worked with Elke in my past years at Six Senses, I couldn’t resist Zannier’s vision and philosophy: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” and joined the team at this very exciting time of expansion to help in the success of the hotels.

In my free time, food, wine, beach and sun are on the top of my list. Swimming and yoga practise are my battery chargers. On weekends you will find me hiking or walking on the beach with my partner or spending time with any of my seven nephews, including two pair of twins.
